Frederik Klee: The Unsung Hero of Earth Crust Displacement

By Kyle Bennett

As discussed in some of my previous articles, and in my book, Polar Wandering and the Cycle of Ages, Charles Hapgood’s theory of Earth Crust Displacement (ECD) actually originated in the nineteenth century. For those unfamiliar with Hapgood’s work, he claimed that Ice Ages come and go due to the earth’s ‘crust’ (lithosphere) sliding as a whole over the fluid layers below, in the asthenosphere, moving places in and out of the polar regions.

It is now common knowledg...

On a possible Geological Cause of Changes in the Position of the Axis of the Earth’s Crust

Posted by Kyle Bennett on Sunday, November 20, 2011,

By Sir John Evans, February 28, 1866

[Editor’s note: this is a digital transcription (by Google) of a paper presented by Evans to the Royal Society of Great Britain. I have changed the formatting and corrected any spelling mistakes and errors made by the transcription. I have highlighted in bold those sections that are most relevant to Evans’ views of crust displacements as an explanation for long term climatic change. Otherwise the paper is exactly the same as the original. Kyle Bennett...

One such explorer was the German geologist Baron von Toll, who travelled through Siberia and to the Arctic islands on behalf of the Russian Academy of Sciences, bringing ...

Arktos: A Polar Myth

Posted by Kyle Bennett on Sunday, November 20, 2011,

There are a lot of articles on the internet detailing the histories of the ideas of polar wandering and
earth crust displacement. These are all, however, wrong and largely ignorant of the basic facts. The only person currently writing a remotely accurate history of this subject is me, here on this website, and in my book Polar Wandering and the Cycle of Ages. As mentioned in earlier posts, all other commentators are completely unaware of how the theory of earth crust displacement was developed...
